Kermit says goodbye to his EFI and hello to the world of carburetion. This was a one day job that turned into a two day job, and not for the reason you're thinking.
Saturday morning we loaded the 1600, already stripped of the EFI, into the bed of the ranger and headed north to our shop in Berlin, VT.
Looks comfy! On a bed of snow.
On the way up to Berlin. You can't say it's not a nice ride up there, even if it is very long.
And this, this here is why it's a two day affair. WE DIDN'T HAVE A DAMN KEY.
Sunday afternoon and we're finally in, and with an engine on the table. I had to move my friend's Benz parts and in the process broke his gauge bezel. *sigh*
BBQ Pork Pizza from Shady's Pizza, in Northfield. We stumbled across this place (which is so. damn. good.) when I needed to use the restroom, drove like 5 or 6 miles to town, found out the Cumberland Farms there had frozen pipes, and this was the alternative. Happy accident, no pun intended.
Elisha, who is vertically challenged, using a ladder to poke around.
Blue carbs, green car, no cares.
At the end of the day, we had the carbs on, but they have to come off because there's gross stuff in the intake ports. I took a piece off, and the washer fell in the hole, so I get to take that out too. I'll be buying air cleaners off my friend Tom, who will also be doing my carb linkages. Yay!

I see Oskar is watching patiently. Looks like a fun build. Keep the updates coming.

Not going to see much out of here anyway. Probably could have taken it the rest of the way.

Wait, why are you switching to carbs?

Oskar is up to his windows in snow saying "Is it fucking spring yet?"

The EFI is more trouble than it's worth. Like, way more.

Meh, gotta have something. That's not mine, anyway.

Is this a chopped and slammed bug I see? Why do I not know more about that project?

Funny looking guy in the funny looking red sweatshirt with th funny looking head with funny looking hair on top owns that, AKA my friend Elisha Washburn. It's not running right now, doesn't even have a chassis under it.

Ahh so those wheels aren't really attached? It's just a shell? That makes more sense.

Fentons aren't bolted to anything, no. If you look in some of the pictures, they're not even on the passenger side because we moved them.
